A carbureted 4 cyl. rice grinder. That thing prolly wouldn't get up to highway speed. I'll bet my wiper motor has got more horsepower

Sad. Truck itself doesn't look too bad, unless that paint is hiding a lot of rust.

Do the front wheels look like they're a little rearward in the wheel opening, or is it just me?
That's one funky swap, I don't care who ya are. s_crazy5.gif I wonder if it was done for more mileage, or just because there was an engine laying around? If it was done for mileage, I'm curious as to what sort of mileage it's getting. :hm:

Oh & the truck looks nice from across the parking lot. neener.gif

The front wheels look like every other 61 to 64. 114 inch wheel base.

The wheel is not centered in the opening stock. Hence when adding a upgraded suspension the wheel base is relocated to the later 65 up 115 inch to help center the wheel in th opening.

I imagine a collage kid driving 90 miles a day to school really doesent care about quarter mile times. but about 3 bucks a gallon and how he laughed every time he passed a big block at the gas station.

Apparently the truck was built for a different use, Like traveling distance with fuel economy. Not hauling eight ton up the rockies. or running 10 second quarter miles.

I think that is the same engine they use in the toy "Tickle Me Elmo". Thanks, Lyman.

Guys it could have gone to the crusher or parted out instead of putting a nissan motor in it. Would that have made you feel better? I have said it many times, if who ever buys the motor does not like it, then they can swap it out. People do it all the time. THere have been faily nice trucks for sale on Egay with chevy motors. If I was in the market, I wouldn't not look at one if it had everything else I was looking for. If it's not too buchered up, then swapping the motor is not that big of a deal and sell the engine.
Cheers,
Jarrod
