I used to drive a REO for Coca-Cola. I think REO and Diamond T merged. Been long time ago.......................

Diamond T merged into Diamond Reo then also White, White-Freightliner, then just Freightliner, then bought Ford's big trucks Sterling Div. all where related and one other thing a lot people might not know is that the Ford's engineers designed alot of trucks in the early days since the early days companies did not have there own engineers, here is one example Take a 48-52 F-1/F-7 put a 61/62

B-Model Mack next to it and see how close they are looking

I place I used to work for restored 2 1940 Diamond T firetrucks, They are really cool.

totally cool... looks real industrial, though light duty... I never knew the lineage of mergers/name changes that became freightliner/sterling... awesome.

I see one now and then at car shows. the most of them must have came from the factory painted red . many years ago the local ice plant had one that looked just like the one in the pic ezernut posted .

We have one here in Globe that gets used for parades, school functions and such. Don't know what he has for the drivetrain.

iceman, i am streetrodding a international kb1, similar to the one in your picture. if i wasn`t computer challenged i`d include a pic. sits on a s-10, lowered frame. have "morphed" a `39 dodge pu grill into it. got to admit, looks very good.

BTW the black 31/32 (model A with a deuce grille is a buddy of mine. Real flames that dont look like a chimpanzee painted them on.
and the orange Goat is the one I was parked beside at the show'n' shine with the Bricklin, I sucked all the traffic away from him, he was SOME choked LOL

Saw a Diamond T at a local show, last summer. Was painted up for a South America to Alaska trip.. heard the guy was writing a book about the trip..

My dad used to do engine work for a shop that specialized in restoring Diamond T trucks. In fact the engine was Diamond T's weak point compared to their competitors. Most all of the trucks used flathead Hercules Inline six motors, but engine swaps are not uncommon on alot of these trucks. The shop my dad worked at did concours level restorations though, right down to hand painted pinstripes on the cab.
