tilt column
tilt column
78-79 tilt column from a bronco for 66-slick. any issues? do I have to use wiring harness from tilt column? I would like to use 66 steering wheel? length of column, rag joint etc.? any input would be appreciated

The cone-aluminum collar at the bottom? or the cap on the top? Cap on top is like a lid with a hole in it , otherwise you can see the cancel switch around the sides of the smaller diameter steering wheel. The cone is just that.. a cone to make the column look like it chokes down to the dash...otherwise the column just ends there where the blue paint does.
But there's more. to make the horn and cancel switch actually work, there are mods needed to the wheel, and the way the horn grounds, that I haven't quite figured out yet. The horn on a '79 grounds internally, the Slick has the column grounded, for the horn switch to work.
Concentrating on other parts of the truck right now.
