built a dolly for the body today with some spare wood laying around the house so it is easier to move around the shop now and can move it to clean, much better in a clean shop not working in all that dust.

Nice work on those Four bars! Ugly Wheels tho.. :D LOL

What will you be running in the back a parallel watts link or panhard? And are you mounting the shocks outboard for added stability with the bags?

Sweet

I have a set of Konis for my Uni. I built the brackets to mount the coil overs outboard of the frame as i will not be running wide tires. Lot more stable the closer they can get to the wheels.

Also using a simple 24" 2 link parallell to the frame and a 60 inch center link mounted to the housing and going all the way up to the trans mount. I also fabricated the panhard rod for parallell at ride height.

Go Freak Go!

Nice work, I love that you used 2x4's to mock up the notch.
Can't lower our trucks in New England, too many potholes.
Keep up the good work.

nice work, your definately very creative with your ideas, I like the idea to use the wood to make your templates, I have a question about the rear part of your notch Do you think it might be a little stronger if it was run all the way to the crossmember and boxed in? I am not a hchassis guy but I just thought it would be a tad stronger that way

this is the good side

its going to be fully box in once i get it all moving and dont have to cut or move any brackets anymore i still have to put the panhard bar in so i dont want to box it in just yet plus im going to do behind the notch and in front and still need to weld some braces inside the frame for the panhard brackets yet ill have more up to come keep checking back for updates. thanks for teh good coments fellas they help the forward progress.

Twisted

Are you planning a rear tank or keeping the in cab?

If you are doing the rear gas tank i always remove the crossmember behind the axle and turn the rear crossmember upside down. Gives the tank some protection in the rear and is still hidden by the licence plate.

I replace the crossmember with 1" .125 DOM tube on the top back corenr of the notch.

Leave plenty of room to run the new fule lines and put a 30 gallon in there if you want.

Good lookin' progress! :D
I spy another half notched frame in the background of this shot. Is that from a project that got put on hold?
