which 9" rear end fits?
which 9" rear end fits?
looking for a used rear end. how do i know which ones will fit a 65 short bed? truck only or will some car ones fit too? what measurement do i need to know? thx
1965 F100 short bed, daily driver for 42yrs 1 million+ miles

Any F-100 rear axle '61 - '67 will be a direct bolt on replacement in all respects, including the brakes.
And F-100 '68 - '72 will bolt up to the frame, springs and shocks with no problem, but the rear brakes and rear half-shafts will not be the same. You will not be able to interchange those parts with the earlier axles.
