Truck was purchased about ten miles from my Blacksmith shop. Has spent it's entire life in this area. I am fourth owner. My first truck was a 65 F100 with a 352 and a 3-speed. My dad bought it new when I was eleven months old. He gave it to me when I turned 15. This truck is going to be my daily driver. Thanks for the comments!
sweet. so you're really a blacksmith? need an apprentice? the truck is comming along nicely.

Thanks for the replies!
Paint is Raven Black and Rangoon Red. These are Ford colors for a 66 Camper Special. I don't know if this combination was available or not. I am planning on putting a Reading Camper on the truck that will also be Rangoon Red.

I am a Blacksmith (since 1982). I have a shop in Hueytown (old Dixie Nut & Bolt Building). The truck is in Jasper. I will let you know when I get it running and have it at the shop (it will be a while). You are welcome to come by our shop and see what we do here.

I definitely like that red & black combo, it's gonna look great when you're done.

If it starts to rain, they'll tax the splash.
If you want to fish, they'll tax the bass.
If you plant a yard, they'll tax the grass.
If you don't play nice, they'll fine your *$#!
I like you occupation Blackwater. When I was a kid about 6 or 7, my Dad and Granddad fired up the old forge that had not been used in many years and I ran the air (rotary air pump). They had gathered up a pile of old shafts to heat up and bang into spud bars.
My granddad was probably 55, my dad in his late 20's and was just a little fellow.
My grandpa is gone now for more than 20 years, my dad is old. I still have one of those spud bars and memories of the sparks flying as my Dad and grandpa pounded the ends flat on one end and pointed on the other. They must have quenched them about right, as the points are still good and I've not busted or bent it yet.
1965 F-100 240 Autolite 1101, Disk brake dual master upgraded, swapped over to C4 and powersteering. Bought by my Dad new in March 65'
Planned/considered upgrades:
Perhaps power brakes, 300 I6 motor and JUST maybe, AC!

It's a shame that every young man dosn't get to crank the blower for his Grandfather while he is making a useful tool.
I have a hammer that was hand forged by a craftsman in 1999. I have used it every day since then to make a living. I have made thousands of horseshoes with it.
I watched this craftsman useing a handforged hammer one day and I asked him if he made his hammer. His comment was the coolest I have ever herd. He said" Son I didn't just make the hammer I made the tools that made the hammer"
The crumy Furin junk on the market has caused us to forget that this use to be a Proud Country full of Craftsmen.
Here are some pics of my 66 F250 I just painted.
What do ya'll think?
Only 133,000 miles.
Rescued it from a field where it had been sitting for about 5 years.

Would like to try some Ar sand. We make our own Forge Welding Flux Called Iron Mountain. We also sell Horseshoeing supplies. If you ever get down to Alabama come by and we'll cut a watermelon.
