Turn signal and hi beam color
Turn signal and hi beam color
Do the 61-64's use a cardboard tube and colored jewel? My high beam appears to just be a bright uncolored light bulb shining through the instrument and the turn signals are half green/white. The bulbs appear to just be the same as the illumination bulbs. Thanks!

well, The cluster in Aggie apparently lost those eons ago. They were just holes when I got her. I put a couple layers of a milk jug in the holes to dim them down a bit.
I have like 4 other clusters though, and cant recaall seeing anything special in any of them either. Maybe I didnt look close enough...

'63 with 390 & lots of juice. But never enough. Always want more.

I shrank down a lime juice bottle in boiling water to thicken the plastic and cut my green lenses from it.
Our 66 has the swept speedo panel and I used both greens for right & left turn indicators and used the red amp light for high beam.
No forgetting high beam is on that way but whoever gets our truck in the future is going to have a mystery over that one.

I replaced mine with different colored LED's.
Red for left turn, Green for right turn, and blue for high beam.
I really don't know why because I'm color blind, but it seemed like the thing to do.
Did I mention I found my gated toggle switches?
Life is semi-good.

My turns were ok, the high beam was a blinding white light.
I found a red see through pen, used a cutoff wheel to nipp the closed end off of it, drilled out the hole a little in the dash.....then droped my cool little piece of plastic on the floor and lost it
so I went back in the house and found a blue one, did the same thing, and jammed it in the hole with a piece of tape to hold it in....so thats what is in it now.at least I'm not blinded
