Saginaw steering box pitman arm question

Hey guys,
Does anyone know if the 70's era 4x2 and 4x4 truck models use the same pitman arm on the saginaw power steering boxes?

you have to be more specific

f100 and f250 4x4s use different setups.
f 100 4x4 is similar to f100/250 2wd in that its pittman runs horizontal but i do not know without looking if the 2 are the same.

f100 4x4 , both manual and power use the same arm.

This is off of a '79 model 1/2 ton pick-up. It is a straight piece, not curved as in your picture. Any thoughts on whether it might work in a two-wheel drive truck?

same spline, just a different bend. you want to use the one in your pic on a 4x4 ?

Iceman-
I was informed that the picture is of a pitman arm off of a '79 half-ton 4x4 w/ power steering. I wanted to confirm if it is the same as a 4x2 w/ power steering. I am doing a PS upgrde to my '66 and I have the box. I need to kow if this Pitman arm will work.

Hey ICEMAN,

Any idea what those things/holes are on the frame right behind (between the steering box and track bar mount) the steering box? I noticed them on my truck today and thought maybe someone had tried mounting something and then welded it back up... but then I came across this picture of yours and I can see the same thing on your frame.

You will not be able to use the 4x4 pittman arm for your 4x2 truck. There is an offset on the 4x4 arm where the 4x2 is flatter. The good news is that you can get an 80's pittman arm that will probably work, the splines are the same for P.S. gears.

i need the kick out my arm is hitting my link bars and was going to do that to mine if i cant get either one like this or a Toyota box id rather keep it ford but if i cant go this route ill go Toyota.
