Slick 60s Keyrings!

Post by Greg D »

One of the fundraiser ideas we have discussed for Slick Stock is "Slick" keyrings. They will have the club logo or the gear/lightening bolt on one side and probably Slick Stock IV on the other. The ones we are looking at are plastic (so they won't chip dashes) and will be in color.
What do you guys think?
Please everyone interested vote so we have an idea if we will sell enough to order them.

Hopefully the price can be held down to a minimal, I would get 2 doz or so
to hand out to fellow slicksters at the various shows and cruises, what a better way to ''spread the word''??? 8)

Yeah, make sure it has the website URL on it somewhere. I would definitely buy a handful assuming they're reasonably priced.

It must have the gear/lightning bolt on at least one side like you said Greg.
Regardless of what gets put on the keychain it is a cool idea.

I wanted to say that, but didn't want to sound like I don't like the Slick 60s logo. I much prefer the gear and lightning bolt.

Price -
They should be $5.00 or less with the ones we are looking at. I had found a cast metal one I liked but they would have been too pricey and it was noted that they might chip paint.

Great idea!! I'll take a few and hand them out to the slick owners I see in my area.

I saw a '66 I'd never seen in my area at a local restaurant and wanted to know all about it. Could have left a note and waited for a call but I wanted to know NOW!! hee hee I went into the bar, asked who drove the old Ford truck outside and instantly found the proud new owner who left his drink to take me outside and show me his new purchase. He also knew of another Slick in his neighborhood that we hope to find and check out. I'll give him the website and have him join. He'd also like to meet other Slick owners in the Houston area.

Anyway, the keychain is a great idea. My kids are too embarressed to get out of the car with me now if they see an old ford truck in the parking lot. Now they call me an "old ford truck psycho stalker"!!

Sorry no pics yet, another member offered his gear/lighting bolt artwork. I'll post it when I get it. The "Slick Stock" side has no art yet, you want a shot at that Phil?

Good idea..

Greg, The rubber type are also nice. If a person wants they can be written on with a pen. They are also less painfull when the keys are in your pocket.

I think you have a good Idea here Greg. I want a few with soft "fobs" like Jason suggests, Except
with a few design changes. :thumright:

I'd much prefer Soft, "rubbery" Vinyl, instead of rubber done in corporate blue, w/ white details & letters,
diecut in a profile of an Integral Bed Slick.

This May be a deal breaker, I also want them designed, produced, transported/delivered here in the USA.
I went through this a few months ago with "hand out" American Flags. 99.9% are made outside the USA.

As a U.S. Naval Museum official how in hell could I in good conscience let our people hand out American Flags
claiming to be made over in Jabbabaville (or wherever else) printed right on them. That is Sacrilige & Blasphamy
to my patriotically prejudiced perceptions. It's not what everybody served or are serving for when they serve.
