Lazer Cut Slicks Update

Post by Truckrat »

I've been in contact with Jeff at Parker Iron Works, and he says he can make Unibodys and Crewcabs. Might be a buck or two extra for the crewcabs since they are longer, but what I need is someone to send me a picture of a Slick crewcab straight-on side view.
I know some of you have them. PFM has one, but its all disassembled. I have a good side viw of a short and a lonbed Uni I will send him, and Ruth wanted a flareside version, so if she wouldn't mind sending me a good side shot of one, I could use it. I am trying to find out what shipping will cost, but it looks like it will be less than 5 bucks per order. I will post more updates as they come in. Get me those pics ASAP. Thanks! TR

I did some line drawings of different profiles a little while back.
They're in my gallery if they would be of any help.
I could make individual files out of any of the ones in the pic fleet.

Count me in for one. Let me know where to send the money to. Do you want PayPal or a check?

Gary

MeanMan 66 has a shorty flareside profile in his album. Will this work for what you need?

MeanMan66: Those are great. I remember seeing them now. Not to butt in, but if you could send separate files to Jeff Parker jeff@parkerironworks.com that would probably help out a lot. Seems like you have almost all covered. Nice Job!

line drawings

Post by Truckrat »

Ruth, these are even better than pictures. I am amazed at all the drawings of trucks. The one called "the fleet" has the best definition as it is clearer than the others.
Mean Man, where did these come from? Did you draw these? I recall somebody saying there was a set of these somewhere, but I had never seen them. This would certainly help Jeff be able to do different models of trucks for us. So far I had pictures of a lonbed Uni, a shortbed Uni, and a crewcab with a short styleside bed. That was what PFM is building. I was going to send Jeff the pics I have, and since these are here, I'll send him a short flareside for Ruth and any other folks who want them, a long Uni, and a short Uni, and a shortbed crew.
Gerald, would you want a longbed crew done? I didn't see a long wrongbed in the bunch, but would a long styleside bed crew do?
I will send one in, and also a longbed styleside and a longbed flareside.
Pat's 4x4 is a longbed flareside. We should have about everybody covered this way, so I will send them tonight.
As I had mentioned in the other post, I am doing this as a fundraiser for Slick Stock 4 and am not making anything on any of this. Just my idea of a cool way for folks to have something kind of unique related to our trucks. I plan to take one and modify it to look like a flatbed, which is what my truck will be, and paint it to match my truck.
Stay tuned for further updates. TR

I have a line drawing of a long Uni side view if you need it Gary. It's this just without the colored pencil & shading.

Thanks, Give me til tomorrow eve? I'll send files.

Yes I drew them.

So far I have done short & long versions of uni, styleside, flareside, crew flare, and crew style, all in stock, lowered, and 4x4 ride heights (appx)
haven't done a wrongbed or flatbed yet. If this would help, I could probably do these as well. ?? 8' flat? wrongbeds come long and short??

Gary: Actually the crew cab with the long flare that Rich has in his gallery will work fine for me. That's what I hope to wind up with rather than the "wrong" bed.
MeanMan66 wrote: wrongbeds come long and short?? Rich
Yes they do/did.

Rich: Again, fantastic work. I envy your talent. Glad you're on our team.

Rich's drawings

Post by Truckrat »

Awesome job on those, Rich. I sent some of those to Jeff last night, so now with yours he will have all he needs to make these.
This all started with one that Tom and Kathy bought when we were at Pate a couple of weeks ago, and we liked it so much, we decided to see what else he would do. Appreciate your help on it, too. I really like those lowered pics, too. Would you e-mail those you sent to Jeff to me? I would like to make copies of them to try out paint schemes on. Thanks again Rich. TR
