anybody every find or know of o factory steering box that can be a high ratio than whats on our trucks from the factory looking for a higher ratio steering box like a vega but something that will hold the weight of our trucks?

he rebuilt my box to factory specs. amazing how 'tight' the old truck feels after this mod (in combination with replacing all the rubber isolators in the suspension). i know you're looking for quick ratio and that was not my solution, BUT in talking with randy, he brought up so much experience with related boxes he's seen and dealt with over the years... he may have a recommendation.

Toyota, you can go power or manual, better ratio as well.

but will it hold up to the weight of our trucks due to being for a mini or are you talking tundra

A Toyota box has been the standard PS swap in stright axle trucks from 53 - 64 for years. You need the box fro one of the live axle trucks that has the steering box in front of the axle (I don't remember the years). CPP makes a brcket to install the box and a pitman arm for a swap into a 53-56 - I don't know if it's the same a as our trucks. There is some good info in this thread.
