Movie stunt slick

Post by DV65CustomCab »

I'd forgotten about this scene from the movie Gator. For some reason memory told me this was a Chevy, but I was wrong.

Me and my brother always wanted a Gator car with the 4 speed floor shift. But I guess I am happy to know I have a Gator truck sort of.

Might have been an LTD, just remember the stunt guys driving it showed it no mercy. If I remember right it was Hal Needham & co. doing the stunts.

If they only used one truck I bet they pretty well used it up. I did notice they used the "Bullet" trick on some of the jumps.

I actually did that to my '69 longbed...but I had a toolbox too so it was hidden except for the filler neck on the wrong side.

My computer is not liking youtube today, so I can't see it. :(

But I watched Jeepers Creepers 2 last night. The "hero car" was a slick. Looked to be a '66. Had a harpoon gun mounted in the bed for fighting the monster. Pretty cool! Check it out if you get the chance.
