How does your slick live?

My slick carries/pulls loads only HD trucks should handle. I expect the frame to last at least another week.

My slick hides in the climate controlled garage until its chauffeur (enclose trailer) comes to carry it to an event (indoors only!). It also holds its pinkys up while sipping pre-warmed 93 octane.

My slick... is supportive of my other hobbies. It hauls all my camera gear and telescope all over the place. (I think mostly 'cause it like its picture taken.)

my slick sits in the driveway and leaks oil. where do you find rust free jeeps? you'd have better luck spotting a samsquanch around here than a rust free jeep tub.
cool pictures btw.

I drive my truck to the shop (50 miles each way) every day.
I use it to deliver horseshoes, pick up steel and go to the laser cutter and powder coater etc.

I drive my slick a few times each week. Since I work long hours, my driving opportunities are not as frequent as I'd like. Hopefully I'll have some more free time this year.

I use my slick like a truck was designed for. Don't have many pic's of it loaded though but if I need something hauled or pulled it gets the job done and I am not ashamed to drive it to church or to town for grocerys. My grandson would rather ride to school in it than the durango.

Image

These are the only pic's I have of it actualy working.

My neighbor brought the camper home from Ocala for me then I hooked up to it to see if the ole truck could handle it. the trailer weighs about 3800 pounds and I figure the camper weighs in at about 5000 pounds. Took off in 1st gear not granny with no problem got out to the road and made it into 2nd but had to really give it the gas to make it to 3rd. Didnt seem to have enough power probably needs a tune up as I havent done that yet.

Mine is presently in pieces - will be driveable by the time the right weather hits (it gets no salt on it!).
After I get the cover on the back I'll use it for work if need be. I'll haul stuff in it but not more than the modded suspension will handle. May tote the Harley once in awhile.
It will be primarily a pleasure vehicle. Definitely NOT a trailer queen.

Those are great pics!

Mine is there whenever I want or need it. Takes me everywhere from Walmart to the fishing hole and everything in between. Drags the trailer with the Harley on it like it's not even there. It has even made some trips to the dump to rid my place of accumulated 'stuff'. If it does break I have the other one to tow it home.

Greg,

Mine is: it can see a garage but is never in it.
: a total show truck only in my eyes, no one elses
: missing many pieces and has a few it was not built with
: but a real daily driver and work truck that loves the car shows as a spectator

My slick is retired from working. It only comes out of the garage on sunny days which fortunately here in Phoenix could be at least 300 or more days a year. I use it mostly to go to the local car shows and for errands around town.
The main plan is to drive it to SlickStock 2012 instead of trailering it.
Great pics that you took. The night shots are awesome. My Canon 10D just quit working at Christmas so now, doggone it, I am going to have to upgrade to the Canon 60D. :D
