originally bought by myself and Greg (FordChild) to use as a parts truck.
Greg snaged the hood and fenders.
truck in my yard
this is what the tailgate looks like when you store it for 30 + years inside a closet in you house, lol
Since these photos i have rebuilt the front end all new bushings, front disc brakes, new king bolt and bushings, tie rod ends etc. i am working on a dana 60 from a 72 f250 with 3.73 gears, to replace the 4.56 stock rear end. found another hood and fenders. i will take some pics tomorrow of its current condition.
looks like a solid truck for a parts truck.... around here something like that is GOLD..... looks like you have a good project, keep us updated with the pics....
whats going on with the nails? what do they do? is that to fill holes or pull something into place? i've seen that on other threads but dont know why. thanks. yep thats $3000 -3500 in maine
Bill, have you ever tried welding the holes with a copper spoon?
You hold the spoon behind the hole and weld across it - weld doesn't stick to the copper but gives support to the pool - also draws the heat so the weld stays in place.
I actually have several of different sizes & shapes (made from flattened copper pipe) and one store bought one. This one from Harbor Freight is actually pretty nice - I'm pleased with it.
thanks, i took the leaf springs to Arizona Springs and they re-arched them with 2.5 inchs over stock and i did 2 inch blocks with a custom bent drag link... between the custom disc brakes up front and the rebuild of everything else up there it cost a bundle and i still need to find shocks. but the uni LSR build gave me an idea on how to use stock shocks by cutting down the towers! or maybe 4x4 shocks will fit. I'm not sure yet.
Bill, That rust in the floorboard doesn't look that scary. Now that seat being that close to the steering wheel is.
Are the cab mounts still good under the floor??

I should be able to fix it without to much trouble, the cab mount is solid. I orderd a MIP floor mat from LMC yesterday and the window anti-rattle kits from DC + i bought a right side door saturday off craigslist,
Yes Pancho! we are still on, in fact yesterday i cleaned out the bed and got it ready to put it on the flat bed.
