Mercury production #'s

Post by Dirky »

Does anyone have production # information regarding Mercury pickups?

I have a 1966 M-100 4x2, 300 I-6, and might acquire a 1965 M-100 4x2 Custom Cab truck with a different inline 6 (only took a quick peek).

I can't find production # for these years, so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Derek.

A `65 should have a 240, same as a `66. The `64`s had 223 style sixes.

I don't think I've ever seen a detailed breakdown of production numbers, but here's a start:

http://www.mercurypickup.com/production.htm

Unfortunately it's only the total for Ford and Mercury trucks produced in those years, and doesn't even have a breakdown of each model. There's not even an indication of how many were 1/2 ton, 1 ton, etc. So if you're looking to estimate a value based on how many trucks with that particular combination of options were produced then you may have trouble finding good data.
