ot, lowering my f250

Post by ezernut9mm »

i kinda need to sell my 67 f250, but can't seem to get any buyers interested in it.
i'm thinking about cutting the front coils and doing an axle flip in the rear. this shouldn't really cost me anything. just the spring perches and some new ubolts if the old one's won't let loose.
what do you guys (and gals) think?
i think a long f250 slammed would look pretty cool.

It looks good low. But it seems like that will require a whole lot more work than simply flipping the axle and cutting coils. Won't that introduce some pretty severe camber problems?

Also, custom and aftermarket stuff does not necessarily add to the value.

Not exactly selling season either Chris.
If you are gonna drop it - convert it to a 1/2 ton IMHO.
Set of hupcaps might help? I have some nice 250 hupcaps you could just have - problem is they are 2 different pairs, lol.
Would leave you only needing 2 of whichever you find first though?
Be a little patient and I think 2K is not unreasonable.

I feel your pain, my lwb uni has for sale signs on it but I live on a court and do not list it because I would take a severe beating on it in this economy.
So I don't really want to sell it,it just would be cool to find somebody with the passion I had when I bought it and fixed it up some.

Chris, you and BroncoTom must be cousins. If you can't buy or build it and then sell for half what you have in it, you just aren't having any fun. As for the 700 in tires and wheels, well brother, that looks like a self inflicted gunshot wound to me. Or, "poor planning" if you want me to use kinder gentler language....

skip, believe me, i thought long and hard about putting tires on the beast.
the dry rotted bias 16s werent compatable with the rotted 16.5 radials on the rear.
i still think as the truck sits it should be worth 2k. it's just that no one's buying anything right now.
i will probably just sit on it until tax time then start pushing the sale pretty hard again.
