A chance to set LMC straight

Post by cooter »

I get updated emails from GEARZ tv and the last email said "spruce up your vehicle with help from our friends at LMC" I responded by saying that supporting LMC and parts that dont fit is a black eye for Stacey David and Gearz. They responded by sending my email to LMC and said someone would contact me with questions of my problems with them. So here is your chance to tell LMC what you think and i will add your info also.

Haven't bought to much from them but the defroster hose kit blows. The kit consits of corrigated black pvc hose that you buy for downspouts on the house, way to stiff, useless.

tell them i dont order from them because their shipping policy for Alaska is gouging hiway robbery.
if flashback f100s can ship my stuff at cost thru the post office they can too.

also i do not buy anything not made in USA so there goes 99.9% of their inventory anyway.

Guys, these people are not bad just some of their products and apparently shipping policies. Their in business and feel that they like anyone else with any sence will listen to criticism if it is just a bitch list. Now, that being said, I would like to mention some very serious problems I've had with one particular paint company, Sherman Williams. I suggest that you stay away from their products. I won't go into detail but took one of their advisors word about what clear coat to use. I now have to remove the clear coat that has not hardened and grown mold . Two weeks worth of work prepping the cab for paint , and now it's going to take 4 weeks to redo everything. About 600$ down the drain.
I will never use a Sherman Williams prduct again. Incidently, they've got a newer product out that goes under another name, so be sure to check who makes what you are buying.

i have expressed my displeasure right at the parts counter right in their showroom regarding these exact issues before. the people behind the counter listened and i see it did no good. the carpets don't fit and the rubber don't fit and half of the other stuff don't fit. but i keep going back. it is only 20 miles for me and they will take the stuff back if it won't work but it is a large PIA. if i was buying it and couldn't take it right back i wouldn't buy from them.

Personally I've never had a problem with LMC. I'm just careful what I buy from them as I am from most vendors. By and large, they've been courteous and respectful to me and I appreciate the fact that they normally have what I need when I do call them.
I'm not arguing with you. I'm just explaining why I'm right.

You also have to keep in mind that what LMC carries for us Slicksters is but a small percentage of their total business. I'm sure a few might listen to complaints but it's not like we as a group are keeping the lights on over there.

I haven't had any issues with them either and honestly, everytime I hear LMC I think about our convoy over there at Slickstock in KC.

My only complaint is the door gaskets, everything else was decent.

I've also never had a problem. They have always had great customer service And I've never received a late or messed up order I'll keep giving them my business but I'll research the items I'm in the market for before I place my order.

I have only had one minor issue and that was shipping costs. I bought some key blanks and the shipping was high to me. I also bought some carpet from them and I ordered the wrong stuff and when I called them to reorder I told them what I did and they took the first order back and credited me on that and shipping on the correct carpet and said it was no big deal. I have ordered quite a bit of stuff from them and always had good results.............Kid

i just ordered a bunch of stuff from LMC and had super fast shipping and my order was right except for the parts that i ordered wrong, no fault of theirs. i ordered a front bumper locally and it was about 1/4 the weight and chrome looked like shit so i took it back ......ordered a front bumper from LMC and it's heavy weight and looks awesome. the only gripe i have with them is the same gripe i have with all the others............shipping charges, don't know where that formula came from but ................i don't like it Jeff

I ordered quite a bit of stuff from them over the past 1.5 years and haven't had a problem with anything. People don't like their core support mounting kit but it worked fine for me. Come to think of it, I couldn't use the bolts from the kit and had to buy new ones.

Before anyone goes ballistic, LMC sponsors Slick Stock. And they are again this year. Just saying...

I talked to the quality control rep at LMC and told him of the problem with their rubber prroducts. He was interested in what I had to say and indicated thar he would look for another supplier for the rubber products. LMC doesn't maake any of their product, they buy and sell.

Thankfully, guys like Tom and some others are with us all the time.

I ordered a carb to pump fuel line from them and it came nothing like my original, nor was I able to use it. But in their defense they refunded my money. I haven't ordered from them since, just prefer club members.
