Who has PS on their 292 or 312....?

Post by 64crew4x4 »

Hey guys... So In reviving the 61 4x4 , I rebuilt a Dana 44 Big knuckle front diff with Disc brakes and PS off a 77 3/4 ton.....( big help from my neighbor and Friend Robert Porterfield ) I am wanting to add PS to the 61 to make the driving a bit nicer....Do any of you have any pics of PS brackets on your Y-Block....? I can fab new mounts, but it would be nice if I had a few pics to work off of.....Mounting points and all...

Thanks in advance,
John.

You might also try http://www.yblocksforever.com is someone on here isn't able to help you. Also, PS brackets are pretty readily available on e-bay. I don't have one installed yet, but I could let you borrow one for mockup or fabrication purposes if needed.

One of the guys over there fitted an electric power steering setup I think from a Toyota in his '60 f100.

I'll have to look for that install. At one time I was looking for something like that to go on my 223 I-6 so I could use a R&P, but got stalled out.

Very interesting!

I would also like to see this install.

I don't think he's made a post about it. I have seen it in person. If you ask, he may tell you more about it. He goes by Yehaabill.
