1964 292 V8 Radiator Mounting

Ok experts, take a look at this photo and tell me if the radiator is in here right. It is a 64 part number radiator. It looks to me that the side supports were soldered back on backwards making the radiator sit too close to the engine.....

That`s exactly what it looks like. They have the right side on the left, and the left side on the right. Dale

I must be wrong . Mike`s` rad. looks the same as 1966mercury. On my 65 the bolt holes are on the inside,(the side where the hoses connect). Dale

Took a pic from the end. As long as the fan doesn't hit, it ain't too close. Can always change the fan spacer for a shorter one.

Mike, Is that the way your`s is mounted? Mine don`t have that space between the rad. and the core support. Dale

It was when the 292 was in the truck, On my 62, when I put in the 390, I had to turn them around.
