On this one, I had to replace the rear support and a section on the top/rear lip due to rust issues. I also added a filler piece where the indentation for the front Ford emblem goes as I was building a custom and wanted to remove the emblem.
The problem is my welding put a bit too much heat into the metal and caused some sight warpage in the rear surface where I added the new piece. I was going to metal work it out when I found a rust free hood in Utah and bought that instead.
This hood was stripped bare and painted with SPI black epoxy primer. The top was left bare so I could do body work, but then it just sat when I got the second hood and surface rust has developed. It could all easily come off with a quick sanding.
I was going to toss this out, but it's really a decent hood and I'd like to see it go to a better home. So it' FREE to whomever wants to come and get it. I will not ship it due to cost and packaging hassles.
I leave in Waltham MA, which is about 15 minutes from Boston. Feel free to ping or eMail (mehal@mac.com) me.
Thanks, Mike
