Dash Question

I am a new member and am having a problem with the guages on my 66 custom cab. I removed the dash cluster to repaint. When I reinstalled the unit the fuel, water temp and oil pressure guages did not work. The old instrument voltage stabilizer looked like it may be the problem so I replaced it with a new one. The old one had a jumper going into the unit with a coil of copper wires around a ceramic piece which the new one does not. When I hook up the new one the fuel oil guages slowly go way to the right. When I add the old jumper the guages do nothing. I assume the jumper is bad. Where can I find a replacement?

did you remember to plug the ground wire back in from the body to the speedo assy. jim in mich

it sounds like a ground wire to me.
