"off center steering column"

I know exactly what he means... the column is not centered under the instrument cluster. it looks funny. I want to "center" mine someday too...

As I stated when I posted a link quite some time ago for an "A" Hot Rod (with a you know what), I can swap the dang engine! I would pay a decent price for a chevy powered Ford in nice shape. I would pretty much immediately pull the engine and tranny and install one I wanted though. I met a guy who lives about 25 miles south of Bellevue who has a pretty nice short Uni with a small block chevy in it, he bought it that way. He drives it regularly and has a good time with it but has a 351 Cleveland in the garage at home he is building to put in it, in the mean time he is going to have fun with his truck. Seriously guys, if you found your dream Slick at a good price (no not the 12 K) but the wrong engine wouldn't you buy the truck and just swap the engine in it? I would. Considering how many of these we see sell cheap I have to wonder are we missing opportunities over a prejudice? Just something to think about.

Yeah.. Everybody needs a good boat anchor anyways.. That'd be a really great one too. Actually I could swap the boat anchor for a 302 just rebuilt all stock outta a 69 notchback.. But I don't like the v2 chevy frame.. and minus the price and me and him would talk.

no problem with chebbys here
I have some grains trucks that are chebby, my fave is the 65 c-80
with an un-touched 409, sweet ride
its just those dingalings that think the 350 is gods gift to trucks praying.gif
put a Ford in a Ford
as far as buying one already finished? would have to be a bargain = cheap

Kind of like finding out your dream woman has herpes. You don't open the hood all that often but it makes you sick eveytime you do. :D

Oh got an answer to my question to the seller.

Don't think so. Thanks for asking.

I bought mine with 3 strikes against it from the get-go. It was blue, had turbine wheels(only look good on the general lee) amd that small block x..

After looking everything over, thought to myself, you can change the wheels, paint it,and put in proper power plant. I bought it based on good Ga. truck w/VERY little rust issues and running driver. It got me to SS-2
and home! Though she sits silent, she will roar once more. Larry
