just got the latest from LMC truck and seen a couple of things I want,,
they are the headlight relays. 30.00 bucks for a set ,,now hopefully they come with instuctions, anybody here get any of these?? well they are on my list of must haves..also there is a lighted front bumper that I thought was kinda cool, however the don't make em for uni's with the three bolt hook up, they have the fog lights built right in.. give me an idea how to make my own, just plasma two 4 inch round hole grind her smooth, hook up a mounting plate on the inside and voila!!!! oh yeah they also have trim rings that would compliment the hubcaps..

I just tied in to the hi and low beam wires on the left inner fender just behind the radiator support with two driving light relays and ran a hot wire to the solenoid with a 40 amp breaker. My old harness was in decent shape so didnt replace it. Havent had any more blinky lights, and it cost less than ten bucks !

I have thought about making up some of these kits. Would I be stepping on anyone's toes by doing it???????
I even have a thought by making these in a way that are still very install freindly but would fit the look of a classic very nice..

i would not do it without making an entire new harness with 14awg wire to the lights and plug ins for the relay and inline 20A blade fuses.
also very nice to have it so hi/low beams are on at the same time(i added a extra switch to control this.)
i brought my entire old harness inside when i made the new one , also did the rear lights at the same time, everything soldered with plug ins at the stock places.

I got my relays with the correct plugs from the junk yard for a buck.
Both of them.
I cut the plug wiring as long as I possibly can, but even if you cut them short just be sure to leave enough so you don't have to splice the wires right at the plug.
I'm going to look for some more because I'm planning to relay several other systems including my a/c.
You might have to get one each from different cars, but if they're from the same year and brand car, getting them from the junk yard is a pretty cheap solution to a semi-expensive problem.
Just my dos centavos worth.....

I'm not arguing with you. I'm just explaining why I'm right.

Also, I'm running my original wires from the light switch to the relays to operate the relay.
I will also use 14 gauge wire like Ice from the battery source to each relay with an inline fuse on each one, and from the relay to the lights- 20 amps is sufficient ..... and no fuse required on the light bulb side of the circuit.
BTW, again, at the junk yard, I found some inline blade type fuse holders that have cap seals on them.
Amazing what you can find on late model wrecks if you look close.
