Odd to me, because I haven't had the pleasure of owning an old F800 yet. :D

Definitely a granny gear and could probably get it moving well in 2nd. I've driven large fuel trucks with gear ratios like that and never touch 1st.

the f600 wrecker i used to have and my friends f600 dump had the same pattern.takes a while to get used to, 5th gear is the same as 4th in the np435, and 1 is a bit lower than the 435.

Me like old Ford Fire Trucks. Thank goodness it's 2,184 miles away from me!

What's even odder is when 4th is where 5th is & 5th is where 4th is.

Nope some big truck patterns are that way. First time I saw one was a buddy of mine in his N series dump truck.

You rarely ever use the granny gear in those. It isn't hard to do once you're used to it. Most beginers have a problem because by the time they get from 1st ro 2nd, the truck is stopped again............

We have a pete at work that the top two gears are backwards. It shifts in a W pattern in low or high range. Its a road ranger 10 speed. They say it will make the big trucks run faster.
