OK well Im sure I made a few purists out there angry but here is the new look of my Uni. I have pics of the mods but will post when i get the cd. The step notch work was done by R and L Fab in GA. Really nice guy and honest so its been a great pleasure so far dealing with him. Good work and honesty are hard to come by now adays so its been great. So I traded a little on the old red rims and put the more stock rims look and with the 42 Ford caps. I went with a step notch in the rear to gove me more cushion and lowering. Did some other little mods here and there like mirrors and misc. items. Ill try and do a nice run down with the pics soon. Until then I wanted to see what people thought of the "reverse" rake in an old unibody.
P.S. Your not going to offend me!!!! I think the truck looks just awesome. People now are looking into these trucks in a different light now.

So discuss?

Wow, looks great. I like the hubcaps, nice touch. I'd like to lower mine eventually too. Nice color choice as well :rocker:

I will personally keep my forward rake but it looks just Bitchin! I like your mirror choice IMHO there a just perfect on a old school styled Uni. I'm using them on mine too. Red wheels are always good but I like the black ones with those colors. :thumright:

Why did I think of all people that would comment on this would be you Greg D. ahhaha I know you like your uni's. Cool deal and like i said I like both styles. Guess I had the other for long enough. I still like the stock look with maybe a couple out front and back with the cragars. The red and white one on here pictured with the plane...holy moses that thing is HOT. Each of his own though. Thanks for the compliment.

Well Ive always liked the way cars had the rear drop look but wiht the uni you notice when its not lowered the rear appears to almost go up due to the lines or soemthing. Maybe the smaller rear wheel well. Something made it look like that so I left the 4" dropped axle alone and then lowered the rear to accomdate the lines. Looks tough to me. Also....money..hahahha i was going to go with a monoleaf and then just well hopefully it will go good without it. The color is the Seafoam green...thats another either love it or hate it things about this truck. hahah I have others tell me all the time to paint it...wont do it though.

Definitely solves the problem I have with my stance;
I like it from the front, from the side - looks too high in the rear. I will lower my rear a little to compromise.

I grew up in the 70s. Big fwd rake era.

I can't stand reverse rake.
It reminds me I need to shell out $700 to Eaton spring to fix my Fairlane's saggy springs.

Aside from that the truck is perfection.
Just my 2cents.

PS I hate the rake. Makes me want to kick puppies.

Although I am not a big fan of the "reverse" rake, if there is any bodystyle truck that can pull it off it is this one. Any other truck would look like it is hauling too many cinder blocks with weak suspension. Overall, I like it!

Me personally, I like em low and level, but you really should'nt care what anyone else thinks. It's your name on the title. I applaude you for putting yourself out there to get picked on. Heck, I'd like that truck even with a Chevy between the rails. Again , build it your way man.

WIth the way you have it set up it looks great! I prefer a slight forward rake with a bit different look but on your truck color combo it brings you back to days of old. Dare to be different is great...

My dad had a 68 Galaxie that was seafoam green would that happen to be what color is from? He passed the car on to me and I loved it. My first daily driver fresh out of high school.

More pics would be nice!
