That is a shock on the 262. I honestly don't know enough to know the difference. Will it work with a 9 inch rear end?

Even a stock 9" will handle ALOT more than that 262 will put out.

I was honestly hoping to avoid sanding at all. Just wanted to get as many of the flakes off as possible before I brush/rolled the paint on. Whats the big difference between the 262 and the 233 anyway?

Just got some parts back. Had the doors and fenders blasted and epoxy primed to prevent rust. Also had the cab blasted and epxy primed, cut the old transmission tunnel hump out of my old cab to put in the one from AZratrod after he cut out his to install a floor shifter. Had the cab corners replaced and also put in some new floor pans that I got from Carolina Classics ( thanks Rick ). Overall I'm very happy with the results. My frame is still at the blaster. Hope to get it back soon and cover it with some ospho metal treatment. Let me know what you think.

With the original transmission tunnel hump. The transmission tunnel hump and the hood are the only original body pieces that will remain on the truck

The original cab with the tunnel hump cut out. The most body work I've ever done myself was cutting this out. Pics of the blasted frame to come ASAP.

Looking good. I couldn't imagine having to pick up and move in the middle of my restoration project. I spend about 20% of my time looking for and trying to remember where I put parts. If I to pick everything up and move I'm sure I'd never find a few things.

Doing the bodywork and paint pourself?

I'd like to keep it the original green which is what you see on the old cab in the back. I believe its Holly green for the 64 but I'm not sure. I didn't do the work myself this time. I have the tools to prime and paint, just not the knowledge. I'd like to try and save the money, but thats a pretty big thing to try out without help.

Yeah I'm having a good time with it. Once I get my frame back I'll coat it with metal treatment. Not sure where to go after that, money has gotten tight. I'd like to prime and paint myself, but don't know how. Maybe start cleaning up the smaller parts and putting them back together. Would also like to add power steering and brakes but not sure at what point you do those.
