My New 64 Fairlane Project

Post by stronger66ratfink »

well,
I'm trying to figure a way to get back to my daily posting of nonsense, humor and leg pulling!
but can't really do it in the Truck Talk,
Off Subject I would get old quick and drop to the bottom like a box of rocks

But I thought maybe here,
since it is my new project

just couldn't do another truck after selling Miss Daisy
so the 64 Fairlane will have to do

I'm starting tonight as a matter of fact
just got vehicles switched out and
ready to start jacking the car up and beginning my quest

Before

Should I join in and post progress,
or just go quitely and sit by the curb

Re: My New Project - Post progress Yes or No ?

Post by dbrady »

I'll jump in with an opinion.

Yes - I'd like to see the build project. My recommendation however would be to post in the "Off Topic" section since it is not a 61 - 66 slick build. I am doing something similar with the paint project on my 67 Mustang coupe.

Good luck with the build, it is already a nice looking ride.

I haven't known Mike very long, nor can I speak for his motivation, but despite his initial statements of intent, I don't believe anyone thought he would be happy with the Fairlane until it reaches the level achieved by Miss Daisy. The Shelby held his attention until the trophies started rolling in, then it was time for another endeavor :P
Mike, I know you like stock appearance, but there's sure a lot of room between those shock towers ( at least compared to a Cyclone). Just sayin'

Morning,
6 Hell Yes's are good enough for me
Please note this is not a 61 - 66 Ford F100
But it is a Ford Produced and put into service between 1961 - 1966

Should of noted - Milage as 06/27/2012 - 65,750
Original Color Polomisian Yellow or something!

Got to "Remove Drums" and not so easy! got one out of the 4 off,
will be getting bigger hammer this evening
Plan on replacing all Drums, everything anyway!

I think the past ower was thinking about making it T-Bolt Clone

Mikey, lovin that Lil 'Lane. Great little cars, especially after you get 'hold of them.
Had my eyes on a 63 2 door post car my friend has. Thinking roller 302 with AOD behind it.
