66 2wd power disc brake and drop beam swap. looking for help

I did this swap about a year ago using all the parts from a 79 F250 so I could keep the 8 lug setup. I even got the Sway bar. It is the way to go but remember that when you order your dream beams they need to be for the year of the swapped parts due to different size King pins. With the kits that have everything for the front and rear drop I am not sure if the shackles or hangers are different. I have not lowered mine yet but plan to do that as the major project for this year. I have a friend with a 70's F100 that moved the mounting location for the i-beams up 2 inches and notched the cross member to get more of a drop without having to switch to something like a CV front end or mustang 2. I don't know how it rides yet but it looks really nice sitting in the garage.

The sway bar makes a world of difference in the handling.

I would like to have the sway bar setup, but i am running short on time before returning to school so i have to hurry up and do it without for now

What are the options for a sway bar if I want to do one, where can I get a good one are there any links to how to's for doing a sway bar

The sway bar on my '66 F100 came from a '76 F250. The disc brakes, i-beams, radius arms, etc all came from a '78 F150.



There are some after market ones available too.

by "long ear" I assume you mean notched ear, right? One goes on top, one goes on bottom. On mine the driver's side is top and passenger side bottom.
