Big guns are fun. When I worked for a firearms manufacture I got kind of spoiled getting to play with a lot of exotic guns and I always liked large cal stuff. But if it isn’t configured correctly they are not only useless they are no fun to shoot. That .577 T-Rex looks a little on the light side for that large of a cartridge especially not having any kind of muzzle break. I routinely got to shoot .50BMG rifles and when set up properly they were a pleasure to shoot on the other hand I have a AMT .50AE hand gun that will rattle your teeth with each shot, after 2-3 rounds I put it down. One of my favorite big guns was the .55 Boys Rifle. The best fun we had a couple times a year was at Knob Creek if you ever get the chance get down there and check it out.

That's why the Barret .50 cal has a floating barrel with a shock absorber. Imagine putting multiple shots down-range from a semi auto rifle with no suspension.
