1 more fuel tank ?????

Post by chaser1602 »

I need to start lookig for a fuel tank to move mine between the frame. All the posts I've seen about moving the tank to the rear, none specify any difference between a short bed and long bed.I have a short bed and was needing to know if there is a difference in space between the s/b & l/b from the axle back.Or is the lenght of the l/b in front of the axle

There's about a 6 inch difference behind the axle.

A mustang tank fits well in the back of a shorty, and a Bronco II as well, but the BII tank hangs too low if you lower the truck.

Are you speaking from past experience on this?
I lowered mine 3in in the back.So will that make the Bll unusable?
What I really should have asked is what people have used for a tank if they have a short bed DUH HUH

Thought my signature might give a clue, but..

Mines not on the road, but it's pretty low, my rocker is 2 inches lower than a late model Crown Vic. I'm using the 22 gal. Mustang tank.

Johnny Canuck has a Bronco II under his 64, he might tell you how low it hangs.
