That truck could have ram horns on the heavy duty 292 with four barrel intake, plus the good truck crank. Nice looking grill and can't tell about the hood. Cab can be used on pickup.

I think I will try to go look at it this weekend. If the cab is good and enough other parts it may come here - it will get parted out though. I have no use for a F 600 - any parts that will fit an F 100 are however pretty welcome here. If I get it I'll of course let you all know in case anybody wants any of the Big Slick parts.

Just talked to the guy.
Says the floors look good in the cab.
Has Dual exhaust - Ram Horns are good possibility.
Thinks it's a 2 bbl though.
Needs lower door sill patches.
It ran when he got it - he's not really used the truck - he bought it for the hoist and flat bed.
Says the grill is nice.
I am sure it has some other good parts too.
Probably has the 4 gauge speedo.
FT - If it works out you have first dibs on the fenders.
Towing it to Bellevue ain't going to be cheap though, lol.

He had one other guy call about it too. Hmm, wonder if he would take some cash to let me pull what I wanted in his machine shed and then he could just haul the rest off and keep the scale $. I'll see what he says. Parting it out here (which would be outside) this time of year would be a PITA at least. I also still have a dead van in one side of the driveway. I also kind of wonder about getting that 292 out of there with a regular cherry picker. I'd bet he has a better way to lift it there, probably at least has something we could put on his front end loader we could pull the Y with.

I bet that chassis without the body would bring around 300 over the scales...

Was thinking about the same. Should be able to get the parts for a reasonable price that way and he would end up with a little more money in his pocket.
FT, email me tomorrow (headed for bed, I have email on my phone) let me know what you are thinking for the fenders - shipping them may be a tad ugly though. I'd also need $ for materials to crate them.

Considered running by that way on the way back from Spencer this AM.
Spencer is a 330 or so mile round trip - about 275 of it was ice this AM. I am tired, came home I was also running VERY late. Maybe tomorrow.

Looks like I may have to make this work somehow. Dragging it here did NOT go over well with Rose, LOL.
I want the engine from it and the manifolds for my Uni. May want to keep the grill and may want the cab (trade the plug for that SWB frame Darrell?, LOL).
I am going to ask the guy if I can part it at his place and let him keep the $ from the hulk that's left. I am not going to try that til I am face to face with him.
