66 Core support

Post by BMJ's 65 »

Mine is beyond saving at this point. I went through a bunch of old posts and am hoping to clarify what I think I have found. If I pick up a 65 F100 4x4 core support from NPD , pn F-16138-16A, I should be able to move the angle inner skirt brackets and a couple of other odds and ends from my 66 support and make it work?

That's what I did and it works great. Mite be a few other things to do.I had to rework the radiator support and the battery box but it's not that hard.

Chris, I thought real hard about building something out of tubing and then skinning it with aluminum sheet, use some dzus fasteners for that saturday night dirt track look.

I have a 66 core support that is perfect except for rusted away lower body mount hole and surrounding area on passenger side. Will sell it cheap but is still on truck that will get parted. Anyone with a welder and a BFH could make it real nice in an hour...
