Holy crap, it's PERFECT!!! Ok, almost perfect...it needs slightly smaller wagon wheels, IMO & where is a guy supposed to mount outside mirrors?
Other than that, I'd love to own this little beauty!!!

It has all kinds of stuff I don't normally like, 2 tone paint, flames, torque thrust 2s, but it all adds up sooooo well. I'd be proud to own that truck and downright cocky if I built it.

I don't like the guage panel much, and I'm not crazy about the steering wheel choice. The door panels are unique; I kinda like 'em. The grille treatment is kind of cool, but it's a little jarring to see the black outline around the headlight buckets. It might look a tad better with that charcoal body colour instead of the black. Overall, I approve though. Nice engine compartment. And the tonneau cover is a nice touch. It doesn't seem to flow too well with the tailgate though, for some reason. A smoothed tailgate might be more in keeping with the overall style of the truck.

Ford in a Ford, that's good.

I'd probably stick with 17" wheels all around, possibly 18", but the big-and-littles doesn't do it for me. Nice stance. Cool flames.

The gauge panel isn't to my taste but the AC vents below it are well placed and tasteful in their install. It makes up for it

I'n NEVER mess with a Uni tailgate, they are beautiful. Who else would put a 10" tall letter on the back of their vehicle? Kudos to Ford, if only they were rust proof.

If I HAD to find a gripe: Ugly brake pedal.

Likes:
- I like the truck they started with. One of my favourite unis of all time. will remember that orig. pic til the day I die.
-Stance- excellent.
-Wheels-tires. Perfect selection IMO
-Ford powered. Very nice engine bay.
-Tailgate, dont mind smoothed tailgates. Like stock better.
-Upholstery. Nice job

Dislikes:
-Gakky horrible sh!ttily-done flames..if you are gonna waste that kind of hours on flames, make them look like flames, not a Chinese painting.
-Color scheme. Grey and Orange? give your head a shake.
-That they didn't stay with the truck's original color scheme. It was a 5 star sweetie.
-That dash. Could you get smaller gauges? Does it come with a spyglass to read them?
-The tonneau. one piece or nothing baby. That thing is gonna leak like a seive.
-Steering wheel. Doesn't suit the truck at ALL.
-The Volare clip. Bleah.

To put this in perspective, that orig, pic of the truck they started with, for me, is an 8.5/10
the truck they finished with, maybe a 6/10

Well played, JC. You have truly raised the bar. I just don't hate this truck as much as the endless parade of awful ones we are used to seeing.

I don't think the two trucks you posted are actually the same though. The red and white one has an Industrial Chassis Dakota kit, if I'm not mistaken. I think it may have a Ford big block too...

I do agree though, I prefer the original paint scheme. Original Ford two-tone > all.

And for the record, I was not suggesting cutting up the original tailgate. Rather, he should sell it to someone who needs a stock one.

I really like the way they ran the flames down the side but kept them above the bodyline - really cool. I've never seen that on a Slick before.

But I don't like the flame job itself - I think they could've done a much nicer job and definitely not the color scheme. Keep it all dk. silver and do a ghost flame down the side - now that would look good.

All I can say is I've seen worse and it's definitely a nice truck but not for me.

boy with all this criticism over someone who has a finished product, im making a mental note to never post a pic of mine when its all finished (if ever) I think that truck looks awesome and good job to the guy that did all the work, if mine ever comes close to being that nice, I would be one proud MOFOMOCO owner
what I like best is the truck has its very own custom charicteristics, this is something i have found to be what I like about my slick over my mustangs, I seem to find all these crazy ideas wuith the truck I cant seem to find with the stangs, not that I dont like my stangs anymore but everything under the sun has been done to them (youve seen one youve seen them all)
think ill go do some crazy stuff on my six fo tomorrow

Really? That's too bad. I really like his truck. He pm'd me on the HAMB some time ago about having me keep an eye out for a Mercury uni tailgate.

I know my truck will never look like this, but I almost always find something that I like about trucks that are taken this far.

How did he get the front bumper to fit so close to the body? I think that is the coolest mod on the whole truck!

Steve. I don't know for sure, but the first time I saw that truck it was on ebay about 3-4 years ago and that's where Dane grabbed that pic off , for this site, then. Did your buddy buy that ebay truck? it went thru once with no bids, then went for a crazy cheap price and i nearly cried, that I hadn't bid on it.

note the wheel sizes, stance, size of the tires, and the fact they are both big back windows. I am guessing the guy who did the orange uni bought the ebay truck, which also, BTW had a Volare clip.

to address mike Carson on the pick-apart thing. It was established a long time ago in this club, that ebay listed items were fair game. And, it could turn out one of our members (like YukonCor55) could buy it and run it up to Slickstock, I suppose it has happened before in here, that someone did something just like that already.
They have seen the comments, here, if they want to buy it that's their taste and their prerogative, and to the rest of the members, they can adopt a "you know what you can do if you can't take a joke" attitude.
