Altering wheelbase
I have been kicking around the idea of moving my lwb unibodys rear wheel openings forward, and removing some of the bed at the rear most body seam, and shortning the frame to match, kinda in between a swb and a lwb unibody, was wondering what a swb unibody wheelbase is,and has anyone done it yet,I would like to have the only medium wheel base unibody on the planet, anybody good at photoshop?

Sounds like a lot of work for a 4" shorter (if you split the difference) bed. Not even sure how noticeable it would be?
If you understand what you’re doing, you’re not learning anything.

There was a thread where Kid and I were kicking this around. He suggested going all the way to a short though, anyway you slice it alot of fab work. Bed bed endcaps are different on a swb Uni, would be tough to find them.

Mid bed
I like the looks of that, the long bed has in my opinion too much overhang behind the rear wheels. My fantasy solution was to build a club cab uni with a long bed and move the rear wheels and rear wheel arches back a few inches. The Big M wrote:I found this pic on the HAMB. I believe this truck had 8" taken out of the bed length. It doesn't appear to have had the wheelbase changed though...
