It appears that the six cyl. F-100 4x4's all got the smaller fenders, although there are those named Garbz and Numberdummy who would disagree. whatever.gif
It's a race.. Will hell freeze over or will JC finish his truck first. Stay tuned..

In addition to the one in this thread I know of 2 other originals, a '61 and a 64 with the small fenders. They have never been changed.

below is the '64, and even more below is Pat's red '61

Just for giggles, I pulled out the MPC for 63 (it was handy) and the tire size determined the fenders not what model it was. I will have to check some other books when I get a chance. Hawkrod

Right, It was actually the wheel size that determined if 2 or 4 wheel drive 100's and 250's got the large cut out fenders. So you can expand your search.

ok so i can use the small opening fenders i thought i had to use the big ones. The only thing now is getting them to clear a 37 inch tire without making it look bad. Ive made my own lift kit and it sits up pretty high only lifted about 5 inches. Do i have to use the 4x4 lower valance or will a 2wd work i have all the original bumper brackets for the 4x4 and it looks like the bumper will hang pretty low.

thanks for all the help Kyle

No lift with 36 inch tires. I haven't hit the fenders yet, but I don't hammer it off road either.
