That seller had it with a 3 speed OD and claimed it was a 428. Still a real nice Slick I would love to own.
Looks like that truck has flipped it's way clear across the country. Poor thing, it needs a good home.

They are both supposed to be 'frowns', looks like the restorer had a bit of an

A quick visual woukl also be the counter balance added to the timing cover/crank sleeve. Hides behind the hormonic balancer.
428 had this. allong with the 410 for external balance.
Overall a nice truck, Very well restored. But not concoruse as the bottom of the cab has been painted and the bed. Should be red lead primer with overspray....Deduct 20 points...

I may be mistaken, but I think they all had that emblem, regardless of which engine.
My Son's '65 had the tattered remains of it's original seat when he bought it & it's a 352 truck.

(sorry about the massive pic)

That gear and lightning bolt was the symbol for Ford trucks from the early 50s when they only came with V8's. In Slick trucks it was on the sixes and V8s until '65, when they came up with a new V8 hood badge. But it never to my knowledge meant six cylinder. It meant Ford truck.
It's a race.. Will hell freeze over or will JC finish his truck first. Stay tuned..
