Report in: My dash looks to be a true uncut piece, based on my inspection from under & behind.BarnieTrk wrote:Iceman,
Looks like I'll need to crawl under my Slick's dash with a flashlight and look for some tell-tale cutting & welding scars....

check out this F350 radio and speaker. the speaker had a removealbe grill. i will get a better pic of this. but it wasnt chewed out. i thought it was formed from the factory. i will get a better pic.Garbz wrote:First year fed mandated pad.....1966 optional on preceding years.
All 65 dashes have the speaker slits in the dash as do all 66 dashes.
61 to 64 have what ever hole the dealer chewed out of the top of the dash as radios were a dealer installed option. Grill and speaker & antenna came with the radio.

Well, if what Garbz said is true (which it sounds entirely feasable to me), then the factory accessory radio kit would have probably had a stencil type pattern marking where to cut the holes in the dash. There was probably Rotunda specialty tools available too, to make it a clean install.Fordman wrote:check out this F350 radio and speaker. the speaker had a removealbe grill. i will get a better pic of this. but it wasnt chewed out. i thought it was formed from the factory. i will get a better pic.Garbz wrote:First year fed mandated pad.....1966 optional on preceding years.
