I will try to make it to the Turkey Rod Run this year, I have missed the last two. I doubt that I will be driving the 36 this time...maybe next year. I need to get MaeBell out of the mothballs, as she hasn't been started in 22 months now. I need to spend some time on her. Thanks for the welcome back...

Thanks for your responses, I still have to finish the 36 coupe that I was working on when the health problems began. One of my mothers wishes was to make a trip to Key West in the coupe. I just have to take a couple of weekends to finish what I have to do to get it ready for the painter. I will stop...

I am Back!!!

I am back lurking around some. I had to deal with my parents being sick, both at the same time. I lost my mother to ovarian cancer, and nearly lost my father to a rare lung ailment caused by an anti-rejection medication for a kidney transplant. I just wanted to say hello again.

You can check out my album pics of the interior of MaeBell . I used the Roddoors interior and a seat out of a 96 F250. I worked with the folks there at Roddoors and came up with a custom dash insert that covers all the switch holes. You can see that in my album as well. Haven't been on in a loooong ...

Try brake fluid, as it ate some of the POR 15 off of some fresh sheet metal (the instructions say the metal needs a "tooth" such as pits or rust to hold best) The areas that the brake fluid leaked onto the POR 15 painted sheeted right off.

I had one in MaeBell in the beginning., and had a AOD tranny...not a good combo. That motor was a screamer above 3500, but with a straight axle, and worn out bushings etc, it was very scary in its power band.

We had a few South American members on the old old site that posted some strange (to us) Unibody based trucks that were up into the 70's in model years...could this be one of the Brazil trucks?

I had a full blooded bulldog as a companion for 13 years, and the best friend a man could ask for. I was a sad man for a long time when he died, and I still think about him almost every day. You cannot ask for a more loyal dog than a Bully. He can not stand too much extreme in either direction of th...

I stopped watching when Jimmy Spencer left. I still say you couldn't melt Kurt Busch and pour him on Jimmy LOL. I pulled for Davey before he died, and Mark Martin and Bill Elliot. I was Crew Chief on a NASCAR Goody's Dash Series team for several years in the early 90's and there was too much politic...

ABA...I have the Roddoors headliner, with the insulation glued to the roof before installing the headliner...also a sound deadener between the insulation and roof. No problems so far, and a lot cooler and less road noise.

The kick panels are good. I mounted speakers in mine where they would recess into the cowl vents.

The interior panels are the Roddoors panels. The dash cluster is a Roddoors panel that I worked with them to develop, as it covers the switch holes too. The engine turning is Haneline and the gauges are TPI out of Florida. The gauge faces are a antique white color.
