Yea we have been at this along time. For anyone who doesnt know our History the Orig Excite group was started kinda as a joke. I was at a GoodGuys Show and met Lance ( our fearless leader and founder ) when he stopped by to look at my 64. He told me about his 64 and invited me to check it out and we have been Great Freinds ever since. He sent me a link one nite and told me to check it out, he had started the Orig Site and laughed that we might get 6 or 7 Members, I was number 4 to join I think. Hard to believe Two guys meeting at a Car Show ( and for all who know Lance you know the rare chance of him being at a Show to begin with ) with the same interest in these old Trucks was the Beginning of all this and SlickStock. I have learned a great deal from Lance, Matt, and all the rest of the Members here and if it wasn't for them I would not have made the progress I have, Well wait a minute if I hadnt met you guys I would not have cut my truck up HMMMM........Kid

joined MSN site around this time last year and then could not get back on. after several months and countless E-Mails to Msn had to quit and then rejoin only to find the moving truck had left for here without me  and been here ever since. :D :notworthy: :woohoo:
:peepwall: found out about the site originally from a guy from rod doors
He told me that if I ever needed something to do with these trucks this is the place. :notworthy:
Sorry JC I know how you dislike the word rodoors

LOL , just I would not recommend Roddoors to any of the fraternity of Ford truck guys, who are "Frugal" according to their rip-off practices.

What a surprise he would recommend us, after the screwing over he gave us.

"Discount!!" "What discount!"

We had the first breakfast at Garbz place for the soon to be formed MAC group and I think there was only 6 of us. Boy have we grown

I joined at the yahoo site, had already started my 4x4 conversion, just got a puter and was learning how to use it. Did a search on 66 ford trucks and the yahoo site came up. I just looked at the pics cause i didnt know what a forum was at the time. :rotflmao: i was looking for parts that might be repoduced. I wish i had of known so i could have ask some questions insted of figureing everything out on my owne. Sure would have spead things up a little. Once i figured out what a forum was, i answered a question that someone had ask not noticeing the date stamp and it was at least 8months old, didnt know what a date stamp was either :rotflmao: anyhow the person was kind enough to say thank you for the info. I do rember there was a fellow from Canada that was in the process of doing a 4x4 conversion with a green and white 66 long bed camper special that he was building a 428 that he had pics of alumn. heads on his kitchen table. Any one know who that might have been.

Darrel, yes I remember telling Mercury Girl and her that.I really said women should be barefoot, pregnant, and in the kitchen, and it did stir them up for about a month, and I was just kidding.I did like the Yahoo chat room because you could actually talk to each other, but the rest of yahoo doesn't compare to this site, you guys have done a great job. Merle , we were talking about this in Sunday chat last night. 2 sites improved from yahoo, but still not as good a chat as 4 years plus ago. wonder what it would take to get voice chat in here. That sounds like it would be slick to me.
Not sure how it works with ten guys at the same time tho... :?

I don't remember the month or year, but it was when yahoo was the "NEW" sight and everybody was talking about would they ever get used to it. Kind of funny now to think of yahoo as the new sight poeple could not get used to. Thanks, Lyman.

I joined at the Excite site, and I really don't remember when that was, but I suspect it was in '98. I posted more often when there was not that many.
I got busy making toyboxes for grandkids this past Christmas and haven't been visiting the site as often as I used to.
