Yup! I have had the '65 Mustang for 37 years and having it was the reason why I picked up the '66 Slick to go along with it.

like a very solid project! Arizona sheet metal is sooooo sweet.

You asked a question on the paint parting line. My 65 Is pretty much identical to yours. My 66 Completely different. What assy plant was yours built in?

My 66 is a TX build AZ DSO, my 65 is San Jose. Is your truck a San Jose build? If so thats probably the difference.

Please keep us posted on updates...

Interesting. Anyone else with a 2tone truck built in Kansas?

Something else I have found interesting possible plant difference is the hardware used on front sheet metal.

Looked at 6 65-66 trucks yesterday from different plants and front clip hardware varied. Seems like the late '66 trucks started having the 67 style hardware. My January 66 has partial hardware thats same as 67 style

Finally got some more work done on my slick!
Started cleaning up the front part of the frame

Deleted these pictures and moved them over to my previous topic in Projects & Builds: "MY OL 66 - Custom Cab Ranger - Project Pictures",
to avoid confusion (mostly on my part as to where to put new photos).

Elbow Grease / small hand drill with stripping disc or sanding paddles / wire brush / and lots of time!

I am going to attempt to move these photos and thread to my other posting on the Projects & Builds page to keep everything together in one place as the project is now proceeding again.

Done!

Deleted these pictures and moved them over to my previous topic in Projects & Builds: "MY OL 66 - Custom Cab Ranger - Project Pictures",
to avoid confusion (mostly on my part as to where to put new photos).
