Yeah, I didn't know I was whacking a hornet's nest Image when I started this thread. It has been humorous though, overall.

Well, the truck brought over $20,000. Obviously several people LIKED the truck. We sat here and picked it apart and the buying public spoke louder than we did.

:o Makes me feel smarter than I thought I was. :o

(In all honesty, I'm glad he got that kind of change for the truck - makes it worth the time and effort he put into it. But it also doesn't change my own opinions of it).

Just thought I would drop by and thank you guys for the kind words and opinions. If any of you guys live in Utah keep an eye out for this truck as the new owner flew in today and is driving it home from TN. By the way if anyone has a nice radiator support for a 66 they would like to sell I could use one.

Yes. The truck was built and owned by a close friend of mine that sold it to me. I am currently working on a 62 uni and a 66 custom cab. Thanks for the welcome Max!

Congrats on getting 20 bills for that ride! Ain't many Slicks that crack that barrier, so regardless of what goes on in here, you bumped the bar up that much more :thumright:

Looking forward to seeing your new projects!

Johnny I really do not know who is ? but by coming by the shop or if his on this site but be bought some real big items from us and had it appraised by a company out of Liberty NC Now remember this was with a cab, bed, core support, inner fenders, motor/trans sitting on a finished frame and he told me that it was apprasied in that condition @ 25,000 and the appraiser said that the person building the truck was at the top of his game plan since he had to get a loan to finish the truck,, I know the person building it is in West Jefferson, NC And has done couple of vehicles + his own 64 but whats costing him a lot is having it done by somebody else
