Post by The Bird »

Does anyone know where I can buy an oil seal kit for the 1964 F100 3 speed gearbox?

Thanks

Hey The Bird.

I bought a gasket set for my 1965 3 speed 3.03 top loader.

Does your trans have a tin plate on top or a plate on the drivers side with the shift levers ??

I have oil leaking from both shift lever shafts and the rear of the trans where the driveline connects. The truck has been sitting for 10 years+ and I think the seals are dried out and need replaced. I looked for a kit to replace all the trans seals and so far I havent found anything.

Front and rear seals should be available from your local parts store, and the shift fork seals are o-rings I believe.
