Re: Door latch adjustment needed?
Are you sure its the door? You might need some new anti-rattle kits for the windows.

Re: repairing frame mounting holes?
Welding in washers to replace the rusted holes sounds like a good plan to me. As long as there is good steel to weld to. It also would be less expensive and time consuming. The frame rivets can be cut with a GOOD air chisel if u decide to go that route. I have taken riveted on front suspension piece...

Re: Oil Air Filter?
I wiped mine out with paper towels and put some 10w40 engine oil back in it. I don't remember if I cleaned the fiberous element or not. If there is more to it than that I'm sure someone here can advise.

Ask the experts
I posted this ad for my dad and am looking for some opinions. Its the typical question...whats it worth...? Is he at a good starting point price wise for negotiations? There's certainly enough "real world" knowledge on this board for some honest feedback. http://scottsbluff.craigslist.org/...

Re: Which radhose?
Take your dimensions/length measurements to the parts store. They should be able to match up a "universal" fit hose that will work.

Re: Pulling engine
There's a metal cup under the rubber boot that holds the shifter in the transmission. You should be able to push down and turn counter clockwise to release the shifter. It will take a little effort. That's how the new process shifters come out, I assume its the same for other transmissions.

Re: 65...supposedly
65 Accelerator pedal is mounted on the floor, on 66 it is hanging off the firewall. 66 Grill was a replacement item so it could still be a 65. Radiator mount on 65 was bolted to a bracket on the radiator core support 66 bolted directly to the core support. 66 battery box is different than 65. And s...

65...supposedly
Haven't posted in awhile. My 66 is still in pieces but I thought I'd share some pics of a 65 my dad just picked up. 352 4spd. The usual rust but overall pretty good shape. The title says its a 65 but I'm wondering...I thought the indentation in the center of the roof line was a feature on the 66 mod...

I tried the typical spray can engine degreasers. They were Ok for lightly greased areas. But, I had some 40 year old, baked on wyoming dirt/oil covering my 352. It was tough to scrape off with a putty knife. I used EZ off oven cleaner and a pressure washer with good success on this thick grease. Get...

speedometer problem
Anyone know what may cause a speedometer/odometer to stop working? The needle wont register mph and the odometer also doesnt change. It will click and the needle will jump a little but thats it. Sounds like something is in a bind. The cable turns freely. What could go wrong in the speedo head?
