Too bad I can't remember all the emails that had lists of plates that were refused:):) The only one that sticks in my lil noggin is IB6UB9:):)

The day personalized plates became available in Alberta, I went in and ordered mine......too bad that since then, plenty of REALLY FAST street cars have been built, so now I have no hope of backing it up:(

My plate is 2FAST4U :):)

....and a funny(disturbing??) story.....a couple years back, one chilly evening, my doorbell rings, I go to the door & find two constables....they ask me if I have the 2FAST4U plates?....then start asking about what vehicles I own...I tell them yes, describe what I drive, and what's in the garage, but why do you ask?
They were kind of sketchy on the details, but from what I gathered, someone either robbed a gas station, or pulled a gas & dash, and the car had 2FAST4U plate on it:?
So, I explain that there is a place in West Edmonton Mall that sells novelty plates, and that they often set up a kiosk at car shows, etc, and that I had seen copies of my plates there.....I offered to go get the plates, they said No, that's fine......but for my own curiosity, I had to go look & verify they were where I thought they should be:) (they were!)
So, a couple weeks later, I get a call from a Detective....asking me all the same stuff.....I told him his compadres had already been here & asked all the same questions.....and explained AGAIN about the novelty plates.....& finally offered to send him the link to their website......after that I never heard from them again??

Funny part is, I KNOW I saw an exact replica of my plate at their car show kiosk several years back, because I told the fellow I had the REAL one at home!! But now when you go on their site, it's not there, although there is one similar (2 FST 4U)????

Yep, I'd sign it. I've been following this thread on the HAMB regarding a guy on his way to the Lone Star Roundup, spent the night in a hotel and woke up to find his '34 Ford stolen. Still haven't found it but he's bound and determined to find it and the douchebags who stole it...

Max: Yah, I saw that thread, but for those guys, hanging is getting off too easy......we need to come up with something else, which will give them time to contemplate there bad choices and perhaps develop some remorse prior to the noose tightening.......perhaps five clydedales and five nooses??

License Plate

Post by montego69 »

Guys,

I've had my '69 Mercury Montego since 1986. In 1988 I got my license plates: KWIK 69. They were real popular with the girls when we would go cruising.

I attended a parochial high school where one of the teachers was a pastor. He asked me one day what my license plates meant. I told him it was a 1969 and it was fast. He replied in a very serious voice, "Nick, that's a very good answer." I was relieved. Haha.

By the way, I had requested SLIK 69 but it was taken sometime between checking availability and application date. A year or so later, the first KWIK TRIP gas stations opened around here too. I was first though. Haha.

A guy at work has "HERSNOT" on his truck and his wife's car has "HISNOT" I asked whey he loved her snot, and why she calls everyone snot when she tells them "hi". He was not amused.

Also a friends motorcycle had his firs initial and last name "CLAMB". He changed it when everywhere he went people told him that "clam" did not have a B at the end.

unique plates

Post by azratrod »

on the cj-5 jeep that i restored then sold had plates that said:

ACJ2NV "a cj to envy"

i sold the cj-5 and bought a 48 willys from the original owner. she worked in hollywood as a dancer. the studio gave her this jeep to get around the studio lots in. it still has the parking stickers and vip passes on the windshield. when she retired to az she brought it with her. i bought it from her over 5 years ago. it only comes out for very special events and parades. the little go devil engine has less power then my hopped up model a 4 banger.

the willys has the ACJ2NV plates on it now
