I will not be going to the NHRA nationals, I think that they are a bit expensive. I will be going to the Fords at the Summit on July 23-25. Of course living only 20 miles from the track it is easy to go to any event there.

OBD 2 Scan Tool
Anyone know anything about OBD 2 scan tools? What is the difference with buying a cheap one ($30) and an expensive one ($200)? Other than displaying the error codes, what can these scan tools do? Will they work on Fords, Dodges and Chevys?

This is the only completed shot that I have. Bumpers are chrome, tailgate letters are black. You could photoshop them white? It is snowing pretty good here, let me know if you want a pic of the back or whatever. I will pull it out of the garage tommorow. http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh73/balla...

4x4 Pittman arm
You will not be able to use the 4x4 pittman arm for your 4x2 truck. There is an offset on the 4x4 arm where the 4x2 is flatter. The good news is that you can get an 80's pittman arm that will probably work, the splines are the same for P.S. gears. The pic is a 4x2 manual vs a 4x4 power http://i253.p...

PS pump for Bendix steering gear
can I use the saginaw style PS pump with the Bendix steering gear? I picked up a whole PS setup from a mid 70's f100 and I really don't like the idea of shortening the steering column. I do have a bendix gear also.

Ford Tri-Motor (dial-up warning)
Took a ride out to the Port Clinton Ohio airport today, they had a Ford tri-motor in town and they were selling rides to finance their maintenence and restoration costs. The Ford tri-motor planes come here every year, because of Erie-Ottawa Regional Airport's history with the Ford planes. http://i25...

Not the Mighty Mac but..
This is the bridge on my road that I cross on my way to work everyday. Built in 1898, is one lane and has a wooden 2 x 6 deck. The bridge was closed for a month last summer, some kids stole a car and lit it on fire on the bridge and burned a hole in the deck. It is kind of fun in the winter, the cou...

Toploader Transmission Mount
Does anyone have a toploader in their slick? What transmission mount do you use for a toploader? The mount from the old 3 spd will not work. The toploader has a different hole mounting pattern than the 3 spd. If I use the standard toploader transmission mount, I will have to drill a few holes in the...
