Nitro-Plate is the BEST way to go. Get ready to spend, though!

No tailgate. The most important part of any Merc. pickup is the gate.

Mercury production #'s

Does anyone have production # information regarding Mercury pickups?

I have a 1966 M-100 4x2, 300 I-6, and might acquire a 1965 M-100 4x2 Custom Cab truck with a different inline 6 (only took a quick peek).

I can't find production # for these years, so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Derek.

Gen 4 body swap Q

Are body mount locations different between a 65-66 half ton and a 73-79 3/4 ton chassis?

I think a 65-66 body would be fun on a 3/4 4x4 chassis.

Ditching the clutch pedal!

Howdy,

I am converting to an auto tranny in my 66 M-100. I've got a buddy with an auto 64' parts truck, and I am wondering if his brake pedal assembly would be a direct swap into my truck.

Thanks!

Derek.

One more question... Inner fenders!

Which years of inner fenders are interchangeable? I have a 1966 Mercury M-100 and I need inner fenders for it. A friend of mine has a 65' (from what he tells me), and it has good parts. It is a twin I-beam truck, but the cab is different than mine. There are large "steps" inside the cab, u...

66' 4 speed

My 66 M-100 has a 4 speed transmission. Was there more than one 4-speed available for my truck? What kind of transmission is it, and where can I find info on ratio's, etc..

Thank you!

Derek.

Slick part diagrams

I am looking for part diagrams or blown up pictures for all systems on these slicks.

Stuff like manual steering gear box, steering column, wiring harness clip locations, etc...

If I can recall correctly, at one point there was a CD available for these trucks.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Derek.

Steering gear & steering column rebuild

Hey, I am doing a restoration on a 66 Mercury 1/2 ton. I am going through the steering box (manual steering) and I would like to know if there are any disassembly/reassembly manuals available. Are there parts available for my steering box? I would just like to "refresh" it, as it is a 45 y...
